Alexander Psaltis

Alexander has a broad commercial practice.  He regularly appears (led and unled) in Federal and Queensland courts in complex disputes for corporations, Commonwealth, State and local governments and high net worth individuals.  Alexander has a particular focus on corporations and insolvency disputes, as well as administrative law.  He is recommended in Doyle’s Guide for commercial litigation (Queensland, 2022, 2024) and insolvency and restructuring (Queensland, 2023, 2024).

 Prior to his call to the bar, Alexander practised in commercial litigation and insolvency at Clayton Utz.  He was also an Associate (Australian Qualified) at Joseph Hage Aaronson LLP in London where he acted in complex international litigation and arbitration including representing multi-national companies in actions against the UK Revenue for restitution for unlawfully levied tax.

Alexander was Associate to the Hon. Justice J.A. Logan RFD of the Federal Court of Australia in 2010.  He holds degrees in Law (First Class Honours) and Arts from the University of Queensland and a Master of Law (First Class Honours) from the University of Cambridge.
